The original acrylic painting was a requested commission painting in March 2026 of a cocker spaniel who has had to ‘put up with’ a new arrival.

This fine art print is of a peaceful rural scene. In the foreground, Lucy, a small brown cocker spaniel dog with curly fur sitting in the tall grass, looking upward at a large dark brown horse. As the title indicates, Lucy is not too impressed with the realisation that she’s no longer able to go into this area which was once hers to roam.

The original acrylic painting was a requested commission painting in February 2026 of two foxes settled in their familiar garden setting, clearly very comfortable being so close to a family living there.

One fox rests calmly in the grass while the other sits alert on a slightly elevated patch of earth, partially framed by dense green foliage and wild plants. The composition creates a sense of quiet observation, as if the viewer has stumbled upon a peaceful moment in the wild.

Rich layers of green vegetation dominate the background, with detailed brushwork bringing texture to the grasses, shrubs, and leaves. The foxes’ warm orange and white fur contrasts beautifully against the darker greens, drawing attention to their expressive faces and natural elegance. Light filters subtly through the scene, adding depth and a tranquil atmosphere.

Part of my ‘East meets West’ duo of panoramic prints and created from my original acrylic on canvas board painting. Presented with a lovely textured white mount.

The photograph I used for my original painting (permission kindly given), was taken by my Mother-in-laws friend looking ‘West’ across Dunmanus Bay from Durrus towards Ahakista. Coincidentally, my Mother-in-law was taking a photo looking ‘East’ at exactly the same time and I’ve called that one ‘October Eventide’. Each one is so unique.

My fine art prints are produced by the giclée printing method using special long-lasting pigment on 180gsm watercolour paper. Mounted onto acid free board suitable for prints on watercolour paper. As well as making it sturdier, it prevents movement of the print & surface bubbling.

The image size is 12 × 6 inch & once mounted it is 18 × 12 inch.

Framed option is a lovely limed wood with half tempered glass for safer postage.

‘Canada Geese’ – fine art nature giclée print created from my original acrylic ink painting.

The original was painted just after Christmas 2024 and had been following a course on acrylic inks. I was inspired by this and one of my Christmas mantelpiece decorations, which now stays out all year as I love it so much. I love the crispness and intensity of the colours in this piece of art, and I always enjoy painting birds and these geese have such striking & detailed feathers.
