Bring a little festive colour and floral joy into your home with Festive Roses, my original floral painting created in vibrant acrylic inks on stretched canvas.
This square composition combines delicate pink roses and winter-white flowers with deep green foliage, delicate pine sprigs, rich red berries and a beautiful golden ribbon. I wanted to capture that feeling of Christmas flowers gathered together for the season, while keeping the painting fresh, colourful and contemporary rather than overly traditional.
The loose, expressive marks of the acrylic ink give the flowers and foliage plenty of movement, while the pops of pink, red, green and gold create a warm and cheerful festive palette.
At 8 x 8 inches (approximately 20 x 20 cm), this is a lovely size for a small wall, shelf, bedside table or cosy corner — and it would also make a thoughtful gift for someone who loves flowers, Christmas and original artwork.
